Welcome to the 5th edition of the Montreal Guitar Grand Prix taking place on September 25th and 26! This year again, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal is launching a contest for Quebec and Canadian guitarists, whether guitar students enrolled in CEGEP, university and music conservatory programs or “Sunday guitarists”. A unique opportunity to take the stage and show their prowess with the guitar!

The participants will choose the instrument of their choice in one of the following categories:

• Classical
• Acoustic (fingerstyle,fingerpicking or flatpicking)
• Jazz (archtop or gypsy)
• Blues/rock

Only one piece may be presented in each category (a candidate may enroll in a maximum of two categories).
